Adult Field Study: City Trees

Event Description

Wonder why certain trees but not others are common in Philly? Why are some streets lined with identical trees? Join us for a hike in the city to learn about the plants that dot our urban landscape.

Dr. David Hewitt, a research associate in the Academy’s Botany Department, will answer these questions and more, share tips to identify common city trees, and discuss their historical importance in Philadelphia.

$25 members, $30 nonmembers
Maximum 20 participants
Teachers can earn 2 ACT 48 credits
