Event Description
On Feb 24, 2009 in President Obama’s address to Congress, he said, “We know that the country that harnesses the power of clean, renewable energy will lead the 21st century.” Since the fall of 2012, Drexel University (DU) works in national collaboration with The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) on research and education project on green energy manufacturing. The project team has been a leader in introducing renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies for manufacturing and is fostering the Industrial Energy Innovation and Efficiency Center (IEIEC) for connecting the industry, people, support and training they need to become a portrait of green energy manufacturing success. It will help industrial companies reduce energy consumption and become more efficient. The agenda is organized to have presentations from selected experts in industry, and academia to address underlying issues, state-of-the-art technologies, and current best practices, including international collaboration with Ajou University in South Korea. |
