Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the indications for placement of palliative shunts in patients with congenital heart disease
- Evaluate clinical findings consistent with complications of palliative shunts

Determine if a patient with a palliative shunt is at high risk for thrombosis of the shunt and make recommendations for further management
