Event Description The Women’s and Gender Studies program presents: W5 Women’s Wisdom, Wealth, and Wellness Workshops. Kombucha tea is a refreshing fermented drink made with tea, sugar, bacteria and yeast using a "symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast" also known as a S.C.O.B.Y. The tea dates back 2,000 years to ancient China, where it was thought to remedy inflammatory ailments. This workshop will include the history of kombucha, S.C.O.B.Y. information, troubleshooting, bottling, carbonating, and much more! Free tasting samples will be available. Additionally, S.C.O.B.Y. will be available for sale for $12, and kombucha kits for $30. (Cash and credit accepted for these items.) Please note: If you RSVP and can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation ASAP as this special event is limited to 15 spots, and will have a wait list. RSVP to Jessica Kratzer at jkk55@drexel.edu by November 1. Co-sponsored by the Women's and Gender Studies program, and the College of Arts and Sciences. |
