Event Description
How can cities adapt to climate change?
This seminar series focuses on urban solutions to global problems associated with increasing temperature and sea level rise, precipitation variability and greenhouse gas emissions. We are interested in the implications of such changes on the complex infrastructure of intensely developed landscapes, and on the health, well-being, and vulnerability of the people who live in them. Speakers will include both researchers and practitioners, all of whom have new ideas on how to promote resilient, livable, and sustainable cities.
As during our first series, all seminars are free and held at 4:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month at Drexel University in the Hill Conference Room, Room 240, Lebow Engineering Center. Refreshments will be provided. The sessions will be broadcast live via webcast, recorded, and archived on the CCRUN website (www.ccrun.org). |
